Depending on the mounting method of pancake slip rings, they are divided into two types: integrated pancake slip ring and separate pancake slip ring.

      In a combined pancake slip ring, bearings or other internal structures connect the slip ring into an integral unit with a fixed overall height. During use, either the rotor side or the stator side is fixed, while the other side is driven to rotate.

  In a separate pancake slip ring, the brush portion and the ring portion are separate components. The brushes and rings are mounted on different parts, and external components outside the slip ring ensure that the two portions are concentric and maintain the required spacing, thereby achieving rotary connection.
